In four weeks time we are due to play Sannox on the Isle of Arran .
This involves leaving Edinburgh at 7am and going to Ardrossan where we get the ferry to the Isle of Arran. The home side pick us up there and take us to the ground etc.
At this stage I am looking for an indication NOT of those interested in playing but of those CAR DRIVERS who are interested in playing.
I am due to go over to Arran next weekend and I would like to indicate then whether we will be able to fulfill the game. The idea of hiring a minibus to go through is not really a runner as because of timings it would be a two day hire rather than one day.
Put shortly I need four car drivers to show an interest by Saturday morning.

Ok guys - this is looking better but I dint want notes of interest at this point in playing what I need are indications that there are two more willing car drivers.

Hey guys. If myself and 3 others were wanting to put in to rent a car for the day, I would be happy to organise this. It wouldnt cost much for the overnight hire of the car so let me know if this could be an option. I will be UK side in 5 days to discuss further.

I think between me and the 2 Phils we'll be ok with cars now so long as people don't bring huge kit bags with them.
To give an indication of approx costs for the trip....
Ferry crossing is £10.10 return.
Petrol costs.... its 80 miles from Edinburgh to Ardrossan so 160 return. Depending on fuel efficiency of car/driver then about £35 petrol per car. So between 11 players about £10 each.
I think theres a parking fee for cars at Ardrossan too - guess a £5 per car? So another £1.50 per head?
So your cricketing day trip holiday price comes to about £22 for the day - plus the optional breakfast on the ferry over and the optional fish n chips at the Harbour while waiting on the ferry back. We also usually squeeze a quick beer in too after the game.
