Righto chaps - all this talk of cricket is making me thirsty.
Think we should choose a pub for all & sundry to congregate in after each game this season? (General opinion seems to be that we missed not having one last year)
Like the idea of us having a vote on this? (on this message board)
Which pubs should be on the list? Here's a starter list (there are a couple of wildcards in there): Berts (West end) Halfway house Guildford Arms The Cambridge Au bar
This is THE big vote of the year (after Eurovision of course) (and possibly A Song for Europe).

I agree with Nasty. With two teams at Muirhouse and one playing at home at Roseburn we do need a watering hole where everyone can meet on a Saturday. As I can't do that often I dont think I'm entitled to vote but think we should do something

My vote would be for somewhere larger. We need an area where we can all sit around a big table. Or even somewhere that'd put on some sarnies (or pies) at a set time so we'd be more encouraged to turn up en mass.
The Caley Sample Rooms on Slateford Road would have been ideal but thats gone all posh now. The Pear Tree would be cracking in the right weather.

The problem with The Pear Tree is that in the right weather its heaving.
How about the Bow Bar? Small but decent beer and a good location.

Perhaps we should continue 'touring' until a suitable venue offers us sponsorship? Just decide where we are going sooner, and let everyone know before the day!
