hi guys .....all the mufs one and two......what are the plan for last battle of 2006....a do or die situation
for ones .....its great to see westy back in the team for such an impotant match........back from bad finger injury.....i am sure thats great news...he brings so much in to the table
personaly i am praying for two things.........good weather....and richie special..........one more 150+....
ofcourse ..........all we the batters...this time lets give some thing for our bowlers to defend .........if we are asked to bat first.......which hasnt been the case this season
...me having batted slower than snail and being "the" reason for our loss last time against glenrothes...i am hoping for better disply from myself this time around.......
comon mufs lets make this match a memorable one

They would have to cut Monty's hands off to keep him out of this one. OMH will be keeping as the Westy fingies are not quite healed yet -but he can still wield that trusty bat.
The masterplan - a lion-(or leopard) hearted performance from all the lads to seal victory. And maybe... just maybe... some bloody runs from the skipper at last. It is indeed do or die. No quarter asked or given.
(Localised flooding in Dunny would be handy for the Twos though!! ;D ) But you always want to settle these things on the pitch.
Leopard - defeat can never be pinned on one person. It is a team game.

Still at least two friendlies to come, though - Arran on Sunday, and Manderston on 10 Sept after the Bots tour.
Its disappointing that not everyone seems to be as keen to play this weekend and allow us to select from the strongest possible squad.

Glens are going to be well nervous, one win away from potential title champs, I think I may remind their batsmen < beast mode > (evil scum of the earth, >:(I curse them with unending athletes foot and proclaim that their shadows will not linger in my domain) </ beast mode> of the importance of their efforts. However they will come to Muirhouse for the first time ever? thinking the pitch is a nightmare and the opposition are inconsistent. Glens have only won once since July 16th. And have lost twice in their lst 3 games chasing a gettable total. This despite thinking that chasing is their strong suit - oh the confusions, the dilemas, the problems facing their skipper at toss time. Muffs can win, recent form has been patchy but we have 6-7 players who on their day would be in an East League XI. It would be useful if on Saturday they could all perform together. I didn't get a chance against Glens at their place when we almost managed to defend a score barely over 100. This time we will get lots more runs, (surely I can score a second ever 50! ). We have without a black shadow of doubt the best 6-11 batting unit in the league. Given a base, a la Watsons, we can post a score that no team can chase at Muirhouse. We have home advantage, we must use it. Roll on Muffs Hurrah

Here is the bottom of the latest tables: Div 1Cramond | 15 | 6 | 9 | 0 | 182 | 60.67 | Fauldhouse | 12 | 4 | 8 | 0 | 143 | 59.58 | Murrayfield-DAFS | 15 | 6 | 9 | 0 | 177 | 59.00 | Marchmont | 15 | 4 | 11 | 0 | 144 | 48.00 |
Div 4Holy Cross 2 | 16 | 5 | 11 | 0 | 178 | 55.63 | Murrayfield-DAFS 2 | 14 | 5 | 9 | 0 | 150 | 53.57 | Boroughmuir 2 | 16 | 4 | 12 | 0 | 154 | 48.13 | Dunfermline 2 | 14 | 3 | 11 | 0 | 121 | 43.21 |
The 1s essentially need to gain 0.6% more than Fauldhouse to move above them, and out of the relegation zone. In Div 4, if Boroughmuir2 win they will finish with 174 pts and 51.12%. To hold out position, our 2s therefore need a minimum of 4 points in our clash against Carnegie. We would then finish on 154 pts and 51.33%. I think

Good luck everyone this weekend in the attempt to avoid the drop.
Sounds like there may be one or two injured soldiers.
But remember that you should always beware of the wounded animal.

Hey leopard good to see you can at least use the pc and see out of one eye. As I am working amongst medical folk as you know - they suggest that you really go to your A&E/eye pavillionor similar and have it looked at. I know you refused a lift to the hospital last night but they reckon you shouldnt take any chances with head/eye area bangs! Hope there's nothing wrong though

Ice and elevation seems to be the general advice on swelling. When caused by bruising (elevation can be a side-effect of other swellings. Hot air balloons, for example.) So wear diamonds and don't do any handstands. Its been raining in Fife and Muirhouse all afternoon, so at the moment its not looking promising that either the 1s or 2s games will be on. Fingers crossed.
In the event of cancellation, how about supporting the 3s at Roseburn as they demolish Clacks, with libation and the C&G final at the Murrayfield??

We will play on a swamp if need be. Bloody Fauldhouse and their cursed weather machine. STOP IT ! IT'S NOT FUNNY !
This wicket keeping is a dangerous business. I can add nicely bruised and swollen pinky to The Leopard's dodgy eye. Some nice bruises on the chest courtesy of Beasty too.
Go the Sharks tomorrow.

Belly, I was only comming on off 2 steps!! Liked the legside catch later in the innings though, puts OMH to shame. Good time to get injured chappies, will make for some good war stories tromorrow to put the wind up the Glens. I fell down the stairs this morning, currently cant walk and my bowling arm is in a cast.

Just seen the Glens team, has Matty Boyd made a big money transfer? M Donaldson(c) G Hopcroft T Madiseng C Ross I Dale M Neil M Boyd A Sim G Sampson D Lewis A Muir
No sign of their no 3 batsman (who appears to be their top scorer and the ballast in their line up) or one of their opening bowlers - the extremely miserly Bremner, from the reverse fixture. So we will be levelish in terms of available firepower.
Joy of joy I think they are all right handers- makes it easy for the fielders!!
