Finally some sunshine and some excellent weather to be playing cricket. The 3's travelled to Meggetland to take on Boroughmuir.
Finally I won the toss and on a slightly damp pitch decided to put Boroughmuir in to bat. Alan and Mohit opened the bowling in typically tight fashion conceding very few runs with Alan taking two wickets and Mohit one wicket. With Alan finishing his allotment of overs, skipper Dan brought himself on and proceeded to get smacked around the park, prompting his quick removal from the attack. Bharat then came into the attack and bowled an excellent spell of left arm medium to rip the heart out of the Boroughmuir batting line up. It was then left up to Vishwak and Mouris to finish of the innings, bowling Boroughmuir out for 89.
Setting about our chase Darryn clubbed a quickfire 17 before being bowled. A very good 30 run partnership between Ashiq and Chris Richardson followed before Chris was caught and bowled for 15. Ashiq and Mouris quickly followed and it started to get a bit tense at 57 for 5. However Vishwak and Russell got us to 83 before being out LBW. That left Russell to bring it home with an excellently played 26 n.o.
Another good (if not slightly nervy) victory and another 20 points for the 3's.
