Just heard from Norman Berger - Parks Trophy secretary - that Newfield is too wet still for any chance of play tonight.

HX defeated MDAFS by 5 wickets in the re-arranged Trophy Final at Newfield. Batting first, MDAFS make a total hash of setting a competitive total - losing wickets regularly under pressure from tight Cross bowling - Bainbridge and Ellis taking 3 wickets apiece. Only Adnan Jaffrey makes a double-figure score (20) as MDAFS are bowled out for just 72. Although up against it, MDAFS play with pride and put in a good performance in the field to make HX work for their victory. Man of the match was Charlie Ellis. Congratulations to Holy Cross.
