Found this fascinating insight into the manufacture of cheese which I would like to share with you all.... www.nationaldairycouncil.org/NationalDairyCouncil/Nutrition/Products/cheesePage4.htmWe (well Mrs Belly was) were actually trying to find out if Edam is less fattening than Cheddar. Any views from cheese fans in the Mufs family? Actually any fans of dairy produce can of course chip in with their views. Chip? Mmmm chips and cheese......mmmmmmm.

Dairylea contains only 15% cheese. The rest is probably pure goodness.

Mr Boris - as a retailer of said dairy products surely you should be taking a closer interest in its manufacture in case of an Lidl customer enquiry on such matters.

i've got a query on a cheese-related matter. if you buy swiss cheese with a lot of bubbles in it, will it make your fondue fizzy?

Can the NationalDairyCouncil confirm that edam is in fact made backwards? or is this just another urban myth.

Sorry, Mr B. consider me suitably chastised. I actually found it hugely interesting and informative, and have stored this information ready for when we quit the rat race and start a goat farm. I just wanted to look cool in front of the big kids.
And most of my customers wouldn't understand a big word like cheese.

Surely we must have some cheese statisticians in the club to accompany the weather nerds?
I did hear that a 36% increase in precipitation can lead to cheese taking 2.74 hours longer (on average) to harden, or having a lower viscosity of 3.22.
