It has come to our attention that there are growing numbers of new members who can turn up to nets, fixtures and social events and not be referred to by a humourous nickname or be constantly harangued by some vague resemblence to a reality tv star, computer character or general celebrity. This is not acceptable!
So in the time honoured MUFS tradition of labelling our cricketing colleagues with humorous, sometimes mildly offensive nicknames/lookalikes, it would be appreciated if you could post suggestions here.
Let the name calling begin.....

Chris Banks has quickly acquired the name 'Mario'. Being employed by Scottish Water, he can only be a super plumber.
We have Peaches Sneddon.
Charlotte has gone from having no nicknames to acquiring three overnight - Hound of the Bascombes, Mini-Mel, and Onions (Charlotte-Shallot-Onion).
Chris Donaldson is Pavarotti, and that belly is only going to grow as a member of this club.
Celine or Sealion Dion Piggot.
I think we're doing fairly well considering its still May!!

...and Wardy should be banned from inventing any of them.

But a proper Mufs nickname needs to be taken an illogical step further. So Charlotte really should be called "Pickles".

Further suggestion(s) emerged from the meeting of the Nicknames Committee on saturday evening.... although titled in some quarters as the Ice-Man, or the Iceberg ... (laidback coolness personified or something to do with an online gaming name) somehow Sumanth has ended up as "The Rocket". Having faced him bowling with a full run up at the nets on Monday then it seems pretty apt.

Iceberg (r3d_ Ic3b3rG) is my cyber name .
Ice -man or Iceberg sounds gay when i come to bowl some fast bowling.
Rocket sounds OK for me.
Any one here plays Call of duty (ps2) or Age of Empires 2( computer) online ?

Rocket
The man you want to challenge online is Old Mother Hubbard (Mufs Treasurer) who allegedly takes great pleasure in beating up American schoolkids online at Age of Empires etc etc.
See Club Contacts page for OMHs contact details.

I seem to remember ending Mr Sorrell's reign as Mufs Stick Cricket Champ Hope it didn't influence his decision to leave?

Another one emerged from last weekend. Aadil Baig is from Chigwell, so 'Dorien' seems almost too easy...

We still need a nickname for Melvyn ... My suggestion of "Brian" (Melvyn Clench, You clench your Buttocks, buttocks sounds like butter - in fact I can't believe it's not butter, Can't = Brian Cant, children's TV legend) seems to have been vetoed ... other suggestions are "Victor" ... or the Leith inspired "M", which I rather like
