What happens when

a thought, rather a question, in my head,

what if a batsman knocks off his bails on a ball that has been called a wide... is the batsman out? and if so how does the wicket count - does it go to the bowler? and will it still be a wide?

Batsman is out, wicket counts to the bowler as hit wkt and wide does not count. Same situation as if batsman was stumped off a wide.
