As some of you may have been aware after the East decided to award the Kismet v Musselburgh game to Kismet, Musselburgh appealed to Cricket Scotland.
The appeal was dealt with last night and dismissed which means the 1sts are definitely runners up

Well I didn't know for one! Musselburgh kept us up to date regarding the original appeal to ESCA but I was none the wiser about the Cricket Scotland appeal. Probably a good job I didn't know, I'd have been climbing the walls...
Anyway, good to know it's now official (short of an appeal to the Supreme Court). A real shame that one team out of us, Marchmont and Musselburgh had to miss out as there was little to choose between us and we were head and shoulders above the rest (leaving aside a disastrous hour at Roseburn against Kismet). Well done again to all - I'm off now to belt out a touching a capella rendition of "Up Where We Belong". Probably.
