Murrayfield DAFS u-13 have been awarded 2 wins and added to their performances in the league from the 5 games actuall played awarded 5th place (of 10) in the LJDG U-13 B league not bad for only our 2nd season - and sees us above Edinburgh, Edinburgh Accies and RHCorstorphine!!!
Talking of RHC our U-13s beat a RHC girls/women side last night at Roseburn. Although a stuttering performance we did record our first hardball victory and all agreed it was a good experience that gave a few youngsters their first hard ball match experience and one that will be repeated a few times next season.
RHC 51ao (L.Tsui 10, H Reece 7. J Loughrey 2-5, R Kneebone 2-9)
MDCC u-13 55 for 3 with 4 retirals (B Falconer 15* A Bahadwaj 7* Heathcoat 2-14)
Interested spectators included Scotland head coach Pete Steindl... there to watch his daughter play for RHC...and not to talk to Ian, Tony or Iain about their call up to the senior side then
