Hi all,
On the 17th of July the football club that I play for, North Merchiston Vale, are holding a race night at the Edinburgh Sports Club (near the Dean Gallery). The aim is to raise funds for 2010-11 season.
In addition, the club will be donating 10% of proceeds to Breakthrough Breast Cancer, which is the club charity for 2010-11.
For anyone that hasn't been to race night the idea is that there is a big screen showing races and you can place bets on the outcome of each race (just like the real thing!). They are usually a great laugh and a lot of fun - you might even be able to convince some of the footballers that cricket is a sport of champions ;D
If you fancy coming along tickets are £5 and can be bought in advance from me or on the door if you just decide to come along on the night.
