Early results from Roseburn
1st beat Heriots 2s comfortably and 3s beat Falkland 3s comfortably as well.
In terms of the 3s my reporter tells me Bharat got 49 whilst Dan and Dazza each got 23ish. Wickets for Bharat - 4? three for Dan, 2 for JNB and one for Yelly junior. Pav also took a great catch.
Fingers crossed the 4s can win too.

From ESCA
Division 8 on Inverleith Arti
Stewart's Melville FP Royal High 3rd XI 212 all out Murrayfield DAFS 4th XI 202-9
On another note the high score of the season by Teuchters against Mufs 4s was outdone by Carlton 3s posting 441-5 against Leith in Div 5 on the grass pitch at Inverleith. I imagine a fiar few balls made their way over into our game if the match report is anything to go by.

3s Match Report:
3s won by 90 runs against Falkland 3s.
A solid all round display by Bharath with 49 not out and 4 wickets effectively won the match.
Batting first MUFS were off to their customary start with Dazza sending the opening bowlers on a leather hunt; scored a quick fire 23 before holing out in the deep. A few overs earlier Pav chased a length ball outside off nicking to the keeper for a regulation catch. Sheri in next and went about hitting 2 sixes one of which ended up in the river. The change of bowling brought on a deluge of wickets with the middle order gifting their wickets away to the slow bowlers. With the score on 92 for 7 we were in a bit (more than a bit) of bother. But this brought Westy and Bharath together to the crease. This was the turning point with both the batsman applying themselves to keep out the good balls and punish the bad ones. A 40 run partnership ensued until Westy was caught behind brilliantly by the Falkland skipper for 14. Bharath meanwhile was scoring at a healthy pace at the other end. In walked number 9 and some quick "Aussies" hitting by Dan coupled with good running between the wickets produced the best stand of the match - unbeaten 60 run partnership to finish at 193 for 8 of our 45 overs. With a quick team talk ( A first ... actually did one!!) we were on our way. To start off Jon Jenner being unwell was unable to bowl at all (but did put in a very credible performance in the field.). This meant opening the bowling with Yelly jnr and Bharath. Both bowling good probing opening spells getting one wicket a piece, until Neil pulled his back after 4 overs. With my first choice bowlers dropping one by one I was a bit concerned I would have to bowl!!!! But Norm replacing Neil at the stadium end bowled a brilliant probing spell of 9 overs straight and ending up with 2 wickets ( Deserved more than that having beaten the batsman all ends up on numerous occasions). Meanwhile with Amir having a bit of a problem with his line and length I had to turn to Dan who bowled well to frustrate and deceive the batsman. Once Norman had bowled out his 9 Bharath came back for his 2nd spell with a change of ends finishing up his 9 overs and picking up 3 more wickets. This left Dan to finish the job and take his tally for the match to 3 wickets. In the field, it was a good display as well with Pav in particular producing his usual brilliance at short cover to take a beauty to get rid of one of their openers.
A very good effort , but need to keep it going if we are to get promoted with Carlton and Stirling the teams to beat for us at the moment. Stirling is up first on 3rd July. Lets keep it going!!!!
