Hi all
Updating from a separate thread (a la Maggy...), just to confirm that Marchmont have forfeited the Small Clubs Cup tie originally scheduled for last Sunday, due to a clash of fixtures leaving them unable to raise a team against us. Shame, but we go marching on regardless...
Next round should be on Sunday 20 June, opponents and venue to be confirmed - we'll post details here once known.
And a further reminder that 22 players are needed for next Wed 16 June as we have an Activcity 20/20 game at Inverleith against Drummond Trinity, as well as friendly at Roseburn v HBOS. Availability to me or Anand please if you haven't been in touch already.
Cheers Tom

I have to share this one with you all...
After Marchmont conceded the win to us in the last round of the Small Clubs Cup, we've been awaiting the draw for the quarter finals this coming Sunday (20 June). I spent a fair while on Saturday night in the pub discussing this with Iain and Don - Iain was explaining that at this stage of the tournament, we could be drawn anywhere in Scotland, including the likes of Oban and Buckie (and possibly a team from Shetland according to Don). So I awaited the draw with some trepidation at the thought of setting off at dawn on Sunday to head off to the far north or west.
Finally heard this morning that we have indeed been drawn away from home - at Leith. So I'll be facing a 10 minute walk from my flat rather than a 4 hour car journey from Murrayfield...
And glancing at the Cricket Scotland website, I think I've worked out why Leith had a relatively easy win in the last round - it reads:
"Leith Beige beat Moron by 120 runs"
Erm, Morton, maybe...?
Anyway, now that the fixture is confirmed I suppose we probably ought to fix up a team. Skippers may have checked availability with you at the weekend but if you haven't already let us know, please do so.
I won't be at nets tonight (I'm resting the knee I injured on Saturday in a Robert Green-esque failed attempt to stop the ball when fielding) but please let one of the captains know if you're available. Alternatively, you can text me your availability on 07876 673320.
Cheers Tom

Guys
Still a couple of places to be confirmed for Sunday's game - would be good to put out the strongest possible side as this is a tournament we really can win. Availability to me asap please if you haven't let me know already.
Cheers Tom
