No teams confirmed yet but thought I'd start the thread since I'm here, in case any skippers aren't sure where to post their teams...!

Excellent and hard-fought win for 1s at Roseburn - MDAFS 175 all out in the 49th over, with Regan top-scoring with 29, JP making 24 at the top of the order, and a vital last wicket partnership of 26 between Bharat and Melv taking us from a distinctly dodgy total to a just about competitive one. Paul Bielby the pick of a handy bowling attack with 3 for 14.
At 78 for 3 and 119 for 3, the visitors seemed to be on the better end of the run chase, but outstanding bowling from Melv (2-30), JP (3-17) and Luke (3-27, laying a few Roseburn ghosts in so doing...) pushed them further and further behind the rate and Stirling were all out in the last over for 160.
Great work against one of the strongest sides we've faced all year.
Wins also for 2s and 3s, but will leave them to speak for themselves. 4s unfortunately had to forfeit due to lack of availability.
Cheers Tom

Well after a delayed arrival at Falkland due an accident on bridge and then losing Ankeet on arrival at the ground due to personal reasons the ten men were ready for battle. Having won the toss I elected to bat. Messers Shiels and make shift opener Donaldson (but my feeling is that it maybe his position) took to the field. Donaldson played and missed to frustrate the opening bowlers but in between played some delightful cover drives and leg glances. It was Shiels who was first to go playing on. Banks and Reyaz got started but were out before getting going leaving us 38-3 in the 13 over when the skipper joined the party. Donaldson (27) followed shortly after with the score on 54 leaving us in grave danger of not posting the score of 220+ that was required. Enter Sorrell for his return league appearance for the club. With the skipper playing a scratch innings to begin with and Sorrell playing his usual type of innings we set about rebuiling the innings. A few chances were offered and not taken but slowly we took the score from 54-4 to 131-5 in 16 overs with Sorrell(43) eventually going to a brillant catch dispite the skipper stating to not take risks the Beast could just not resist. This allowed our powerfully lower order hitters to come in and accelerate the scoring with Shah(33), Settu (10), Singh(15) and the skipper happily just pushing the ball around for ones and twos. some of it was due to exhaustion. Finally we were all out for 251 with one ball left with Subhash 9* and Lacey last man out for 81.
After a good tea had we set about bowling Falkland out. Falkland start at the required run rate but we were taking wickets. It was the introduction of Shiels (10-2-19-1) that really slowed the run rate down as Falkland's run rate slowly dropped below 4 an over despite dropping a few catches on the way. By the time Banks had removed Falkland's number 5, 6 & 8 they were 121-7 requiring 8 an over an it was game over. Unfortunately we did not finish them off and bowled the fully 50 overs. Falkland finishing 215-9. We need to work on our fielding concentration and extras as we gave them 23 wides and No balls.
So a fine win for the ten men of Murrayfield in the a hot day in Fife. Well done to all with bat & in the field and that one man in the field does count.
Scorecard: Shiels 1 Donaldson 27 Banks 9 Reyaz 7 Lacey 81 Sorrell 43 Shah 33 Settu 10 Singh 15 Yerneni 9*
Singh 10-1-35-1 Settu 10-1-53-2 Sorrell 7-1-25-0 Shiels 10-2-19-1 Banks 5-0-22-3 Yerneni 8-0-41-2
