Hi all
After the success and excitement of a one run win over Largo (or The Evil Largonians, if you will Shielsy), the Great Escape remains on for the 1s. Saturday sees us travel to renew acquaintances with Fauldhouse after the last ball drama of Sunday's tremendous Cow Corner final. If we can win there and complete a league double over the league leaders then we're right back in the mix.
On a mission to put us back in said mix will be:
1. Tom Wheeler 2. Ian Shiels 3. Paul Hubbard 4. Raja Sampath 5. Raj Devanagere 6. Jean-Pierre Cruz Rocha 7. Phil "Last Over Heroics" Rogers 8. Melvyn Clench 9. Luke Hayes 10. Mangesh Akerkar 11. Danny Abraham
Please meet at Murrayfield Hotel for departure at 11.30am sharp. If you're able to bring a car please let me know asap as we're still one or two short at the moment.
Big effort needed to help lift us out of the heriots, but the momentum is with us after Saturday and Sunday.
Upwards and onwards, as the very wise Edwyn Collins once sang. (He also sang "rip it up and start again", but apparently you're not allowed to do that with cricket seasons...)
Best of luck to all four teams.
Cheers Tom

Hello all,
Team 2 plays West Lothian this saturday. There has been a surprise turn of events. Dunnikier have moved into the relegation zone with Stenhousemuir currently located in the 8th position. we are at the 7th position with only a 6% point cushion for the 8th place. Also bearing in mind that there is one game pending between Stenhousemuir and bottom placed Preston, it could still see some changes to the points tally. But our task is simple enough: win this week's fixture and we would be safe in Div 3...
the team to play this saturday in no particular order:
Adam Scott Rajnish Singh M Rafic Settu Neil Yelland Adeel Raza Vimal D'Souza Sivaram Sivasamy Sunny Dahiya Chris West Anand Venkatesh Ankeet Vora.
See you all at Roseburn at 12 noon.
All the best to all the teams. up the mufs...

The ESCA fixtures quirk sees the 4s play Peebles at home for the 2nd time this season and the 3rd time in all after the pre-season friendly. The previous 2 have seen very narrow defeats, so lets go for some revenge this time around.
The match is at Roseburn on Saturday and will be on the Astro wicket so no spikes please.
After doing such a good job in trying circumstances last week Chris Richardson will again stand in as captain. As ever with home games please all muddle in to get the scoreboard, tables, chairs, teas, tea urn etc ready.
This week I’ve translated everyone’s name into Japanese and ordered them by the phonetic spelling !!!
GUREAMU - Graham Watson DORYUU – Drew Barker GURANTO – Gurjeet Singh IIAN - Irfan Mahmud KURISU - Kris Parker KURISUTOFAA - Chris Richardson NIIRU - Neil Cameron RINJII - Lindsay Towns SEBU - Subhash Yerneni SUCHUAATO - Stuart Pringle TIMU - Tim Mizon
Up the Mufs.

2's game also called off due to soaked pitch. no chance of pitch conditions improving inspite of expected better 'forecast' for the rest of this afternoon....

And to complete the set even the uber-hardy 4s are off. Primarily due to the soaked outfield and lovingly deposited piles of grass everywhere. And you know what within 10 mins of calling Peebles the sun comes out.
Permission to say thingy!
