A rare opportunity to gain your first steps into the arcane world of what OMH really does when no-one else is around at Roseburn; of how he manages to turn a muddy field into a fine, true and hard pitch week after week; on how to cut grass; and fill holes. And lots more besides.
Well, maybe it isn't, but the club needs more people involved with preparing and repairing pitches, maintaining the outfields and practice area.
The Institute of Groundsmen run courses on behalf of CricketScotland on pitch preparation and maintenance, and the first stage qualification is in two one-day parts. The next "Autumn and Winter Maintenance" course will be at Boghall (West Lothian's ground) on Saturday 19 September and I have asked for two spaces for the club.
If you wish to attend, or want to ask any questions about the course or ground work please contact me direct.

Not a great deal of response to this...
Come on chaps, I can't be the only one to be keen to learn how we work to improve the square?
Only one name firmly inked in for the two places I have booked for the club.

If no one else puts their name forward, Neil would be available and interested
