The next Sunday friendly sees the trek south of the border to Bamburgh and one of the most picturesque grounds you'll ever find. That said in previous years the rain has had made it fairly difficult to find. Please but remember this games requires a long drive and be prepared for an Edinburgh departure around 10am and sharing fuel costs. Various pictures are available of a previous visit here: www.murrayfield-dafscc.co.uk/photos_2007_bamburgh.htmI'm organising this one so indicative interest to me and when replying please also indicate whether you'd require a lift or are prepared to drive. I'll then start posting names once everyone has had a chance to respond. CB

Hiya Chris, I put myself down as available for this when asked on Saturday but I've injured myself and doubt that I'll be fit to play, sorry!

Great to see so much interest in playing. Hope to sort the side out on Monday/Tuesday and post it together with timing details for meeting.

Arrangements for 'le grand depart' still to be confirmed but drivers required. Seeing as Bamburgh is in the fine county of Northumberland then I though the team members deserved a suitable Northumbrian name-a-like:
Phil 'Sid Waddell' Rogers - Darts Legend, born Alnwick 1940 Tom 'Graveney' Wheeler - Cricketer, born Riding Mill 1927 Brad 'Ross Noble' Mowat - Comedian, born Cramlington 1976 Chris 'Capability' Brown - Landscaper, born Kirkwhelpington 1715 Ian 'Robson Green' Shiels - Pretendy posh Actor, born Hexham 1964 Wor Anand 'Jackie Milburn' Venkatesh - Footballing Legend, born Ashington 1924 Vamshi 'Jack Charlton' Sunki - Non Judas footballer, born Ashington 1935 Ankeet 'George Stephenson' Vora - Father of the railways, born Wylam 1781 Siva 'Jayne Middlemiss' Sivasamy - TV Bint, born Bedlinton 1971 Neil 'Pete Doherty' Yelland - Druggie and musician, born Hexham 1979 Dave 'Bedlington Terrier' Clifford - Dog, born Bedlington 1782
12th Man Phil 'Grace Darling' Yelland - Lifesaver, born Bamburgh 1815

Dave Clifford is a dog so you got off lightly. Anyway it should help you focus behing the stumps knowing that you don't need to wear a box.

Could have been worse mate, he didn't write your celeb name in J-Lo format. That would make you P-Do! By the way, I've got some change if you want it. You look like you could do with a cup of tea. Do you know where you're sleeping tonight? haha
