Ok that adds Big G and DC plus interest from jigar and sutha if they are not playing in monday cup game. Plus steve 'bob' willis. And a possible in Adeel. Maybe room for another then. Always happy to take 12 to these games. Cheers von belly.

And also could we graciously request that the Duchess, Pickles of Murrayfield remind one of her porters to include a team kit bag in her baggage train. Many thanks ma'am.

Ok. Jigar now in cup squad so drops out and DC has suffered a injury worthy of EPL goalkeepers - dropped a plate on his big toe and cant walk! Good job it wasn't a bottle of salad cream too. But neil yelly now in too plus Andy Lacey. And Donimator lurking in the wings too.

Update on team - squad of 12 so some fielding rotation will be in order ('bagsy' me first!!) 12th man may be needed to bring out fresh gloves etc towards the end of the innings just to annoy any possible australians present. More likely is that a physio WILL be needed for real!
Team...
1 von Belly 2 Broony 3 Anandy 4 Picklesy 5 Chewy 6 Gijsy 7 Nelly 8 Donny 9 Sutha-y 10 Lacey-y 11 Adeel-y 12 Stevie "Bob" Willis-y
As ever if is called OFF due to inclement weather, I will let you know as soon as i can - do not pester me with "is it still on?" texts during the day otherwise I will borrow OMH's hannibal-style keeping mask and eat your liver with a nice bottle of chianti....ffff.fff.fff...ffff..fff.fff...fff.fff.fff.
Applications for the position of Mufs celebrity midweek captain will be considered so long as they have the magic words - "yes please do have a couple of overs bowling at the precise moment of your choosing, master von belly."
Game will be played (at least from our point of view) in usual midweek inclusive spirit of a couple of overs each bowling, for those who want to bowl, and 30 and retire for those who can get anywhere near that!

Apparently there's a request from the Cross that when James Pope comes out to bat then Charlotte and I have to bowl from both ends! They want to see him out to a girl! Char - are you up for that?!

Not quite the context that I want to be compared to EPL goalies... I'm not sure that Lynsey will take it as an excuse for me to avoid doing the washing up again.
Lea - if his running between the wickets is as bad as it was against the Mighty Threes then it won't matter who's bowling to him!

Quick update on the result from the Arbo...
Holy Cross won by 44 runs.
HX 144-5 off 20 overs. Charlie Ellis 31 ret, Nimehta 30 ret, Jon Bates run out 24, V Gaware 30 ret.
Wicket takers for MDAFS: Anand with an excellent spell of 3-0-14-1, and von Belly with 3-0-16-2 (would have been 3 if Lacey had not tried to catch a steepler with his boobies rather than his handsies). 2 good run outs due to sharp work by Adeel and then Broon. Other bowling: N Yelland 3-0-28-0 (bowling radar left in Florida - think line and length kidda!) Adeel Raza 3-0-18-0 (struggled with wet ball but bowled some good 'uns to Charlie) Gijs Katgert 2-0-11-0 (improved lengths - kept it tight against the thrash) Chris Brown 1-0-18-0 (ummm) Steve Willis 2-0-17-1 (second over showed improvement ) Sutha Rangaswamy 2-0-8-0 (impressive at the end of the innings) Lea Tsui 1-0-9-0 (final over looked good from the square point/ leg boundary).
MDAFS batting - 100-8 off 20 overs. Andy Lacey run out 19 Anand Venkatesh 38 not out (had retired at 30) Neil Yelland retired hurt 18 Charlotte Bacombe ct McGill 1 Sutha Rangaswamy bowled McGill 4 Chris Brown Bowled Nimehta 5 Don Wilkie (celeb captn) Caught Shazad 1 Adeel Raza stumped Lawrie bwd Nimehta 3 (dawdling outside his crease rehearsing shots) Gijs Katgert caught McGill 4 Stephen Willis run out 0 (suicidal turn for a second) Lea Tsui not out 2 Belly 12th man and so DNB.
Usual marvellously spirited game with some good comedy award potential moments - livened up by the Pope v Pickles clash where one would say it was stalemate in the arse-kicking contest.

Old age catching up with you as eyes not that great. Tried to catch with my 'handsies' but not the same without big 'glovesies'.
Yelland would have had a 1 for if Shielsy was could take a sharp catch with his handsies.
