Hello Next 20/20 is the glamorous beer and sandwiches trip to Merchiston Castle School on Tuesday 23 June. Buses 10, 45, and 18 go right along colinton rd past the school. It was the cricketing equivalent of S&M - much pain was inflicted on us on the park.... the beer and sandwiches afterwards provided significant pleasure.
For the record... Merchiston Castle staff scored 197 off 20 overs - 5 of their batters (or battering-ers really) were retired on 30+ and 10 sixes hit. We got 95-8 off 20 overs with Lindsay Towns 18, Neil Yelly 15, Claypole 11, Pickles not out 11 and the Doninator not out 8.
Only Sutha and JNB emerged with credit with the ball while the rest of us naughty boys got a d@mn good thrashing . Can't wait till next years caning.
