Hi all Thanks to all those who took part in Sunday's armoury works and/or game at Westquarter, which we won comfortably by 60ish runs - and well done in particular to Mangesh for his unbeaten 50, and anyone else who managed to eke out any runs at all on a pre-season pudding of a pitch. Can I reassure the newcomers that the pitches and outfields do get better (in the main) as we get into the season proper... The pre-season programme gets into full swing this Saturday (18 April) with two home games at Roseburn Park against sides from our near neighbours RH Corstorphine, starting at 1pm. I'm not around for the games but am happy to do the initial organising, so if you'd like a game and haven't already confirmed your availability, please let me know by text (0787 667 3320) or email ( imsorryihavent@cluemail.com). Can I take the chance to remind everyone that you need to pay your membership if you want to play for the club! You know who you are... Cheers for now Tom

Hi all
We've had loads of interest in the games this Saturday, meaning that even though we're rotating players to try to give everyone a game, we're still going to be oversubscribed. But we'll have the nets set up so if you fancy some practice do still come along to Roseburn, there'll be some cricket to be had.
Stuart Coull and Ankeet Vora will be in charge on Saturday so please contact them with any problems or questions, or text me and I'll pass the message on. Stuart or Ankeet will text those playing in case of the game being rained off.
If you're too late to get a game this week then you'll get priority for a game the following Saturday (25 April), when we've got a home friendly against Peebles on the artificial and an inter-club game on the grass. Please confirm availability to me at the usual text/email details.
Good luck all for Saturday.
Cheers Tom

Hello everyone,
As you all know, there has been a huge interest in playing the game against Corstorphine, which is great to hear... the good news is that everyone (atleast the initial 28) will get a game tomorrow. listed below are those who had expressed an interest to play in alphabetical order...
1 Adam Scott 2 Ankeet Vora 3 Asif Mohammed (may leave at 6) 4 Chris Banks 5 Chris West 6 Danny Abraham 7 David Clifford 8 Heath Batwell 9 Iain Martin 10 J P Rocha Cruz 11 Joe Gordon 12 Mangesh Akerkar 13 Mel Clench 14 Neil Yelland 15 Owen Kelly 16 Paul Hubbard 17 Phil Hawkins 18 Phil Rogers (leaves at 6) 19 Rafic Settu 20 Raghavendra Kamath 21 Raj Davanagere (Tall Raj) 22 Raja Sampath (Thin Raj) 23 Regan Black 24 Rob Fotheringham 25 Siva Sivasamy 26 Steven Willis 27 Stuart Coull 28 Sutha Rangaswamy
Corstorphine have mentioned that they do not have sufficient players on their end, so we will have a few of our players playing from their end. there would still be extra players so expect rotations while in the field... we hope everyone will get a decent day of cricket,
there will also be nets put up, so anyone else wanting to hit the ball or attempt bowlouts will get a chance...i know Paul Leonard and Gurjeet are planning to come in just for the nets...
and then theres offcourse the after game drinks at Murrayfield Hotel...all are welcome...
so look forward to seeing you all at the Roseburn.
Both games are 45 overs a side and will start at 1.00 pm...
Please be there by 12.30 latest so that we know how many to play and from which side!!!!
in case of any cancellations, please send in a text to either me (07859890522) or Stuart (07967330979)
and for those of you yet to pay the membership fees, tomorrows going to be a good day to do so...
see you tomorrow chaps, have a great friday evening...

Great to see such good numbers for Saturday's friendlies.
If there's a Tall Raj and a Thin Raj then Mr Singh is .....? ;D???
On a more serious note... more volunteer labour is required for this Sunday - a fencing post system is being installed by us around the cricket square - please let Paul Hubbard know on Saturday.
Cheers
