Chaps and chapesses Final midweeker of the season at Double Hedges Park against Kirk Brae next Tuesday, beginning at 6pm sharp if we're to get a full game in before night falls. I've spoken today to Kieron from Kirk Brae and they're keen to play but low on numbers, so if we can get more than 11 we can always mix and match players between the two sides. Would be good to get as many of our Cow Corner squad as possible playing in this game. And with a few people dropping out of the rearranged finals day, there are places up for grabs. So put your name down for Tuesday and stake your claim. Availability to me please on 0787 667 3320 or imsorryihavent@cluemail.com. Cheers Tom

Rained off. Of course. It's not as if the midweek season was ever likely to end any other way...
On behalf of Ian and myself, thanks to all those who've turned out for midweek games this season in between the rainstorms.
Thursday practice still on at Roseburn, so if you haven't had much cricket in recent weeks (and unless you've been in the Caribbean for the past month, that probably means you) please come along and get yourself in some form for the final weekend's games.
Cheers Tom

I hope everyone would join me in thanking Tom, Ian and everyone else who has tried to organise the midweek action this summer.
There is nothing more frustrating than organising a game and then seeing it called off and this season has just about capped last season.
I am told when games have been played its been good fun with cracking banter. Here's to more of the same next summer when the sun will shine (I hope).
