Very wet down at Leith Links this morn still ( i was getting some new tyres and while waiting went for a wander as JNB's mate from Leith had mentioned the flooding) ... this affects both squares/outfields - is never going to dry in time for pitch prep for Sat I say....

Tonights game for RBGE vs Scottish and Newcastle was called off at 08:30 this morning with pools of water on the square and the outfield saturated... even the football scheduled for Muirhouse had been postponed... doesnt look too good for Saturday :-(

Sadly El Sec is spot on - game off. Shielsy has been down to see it for himself and just no way of preparing a pitch that would be fit to play. Not even the arti (which is scarcely fit for cricket in the first place anyway).

Net lane now booked at MES from 1-3pm tomorrow. If anyone else is interested please tell me so I can book an extra lane if necessary. Will be a small charge for those attending, will depend how many of us there are.
