I hereby announce that the Murrayfield DAFS Cricket Club Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place at The Murrayfield Hotel at 7.30pm on Wed 8th November 2006.

Please send any motions to myself as Secretary, by Tuesday 24th October including any applications/proposals to stand for any of the Committee and captaincy/vice-captaincy positions. Please include with your proposal, the background behind your idea and how it will benefit the club, your name and, if possible, a seconder for your motion.

Please also note NO applications for club committee posts, where that official has indicated a desire to continue in post, will be accepted after this date (24th October), unless exceptional circumstances prevail. (Anyone not wishing to continue in post please let me know immediately).

Andy Cook has now confirmed that he will be giving up the 3rd Team captaincy so this position is now vacant. Nominations/apllications to [e-mail] thanks iain.

Many thanks to Andy for such a great job last season culminating in the Divisional Fair Play Award.

Further to the note above, I can now confirm that the AGM will be at another of the excellent Festival Inns' establishments, the Ellersly House Hotel in Murrayfield, at 7:30pm. Many thanks go to Susi of Festival Inns (our sponsors) for arranging a replacement of the Murrayfield Hotel which is currently undergoing refurbishments to its accommodation areas.
