THis game has been rearranged for this coming Tuesday (17 June) and will be at ROSEBURN not Muirhouse, starting at 6pm.
Availability to me at the usual number/email address please. If Saturday skippers could take a note of availability that would be very helpful.
Cheers Tom

Hi again
I've been in contact directly with those who are playing tonight. As per my text, we'll hope the weather holds, but we'll make a decision before 5pm and I will text if we're off. Otherwise please assume the game's on! Meet for prompt 6pm start at Roseburn.
Cheers Tom

Fauldhouse 138 for 6 off 20 overs, MDCC 140 for 5 off 19.2 overs. Fantastic game of cricket with Asif (41 not out) hitting the first two balls of the last over for 6 to win the game. Excellent contributions also from Irfan Mahmud (36) and Sunny Dahiya (a quick 23 at the top of the order).
A win looked very unlikely when DJ Allan (45) was belting us to all corners of Roseburn (including two sixes into - or perhaps over - the Water of Leith off yours truly). Fauldhouse were 66 for 0 in the 7th over before DJ tried one hit too many off the skipper and Sunny took a good catch on the boundary. An excellent bowling and fielding effort dragged us back into the game, then we kept the momentum going after Sunny and Reyaz got us off to a flyer. Irfan and Asif played aggressively but sensibly, peppering the short boundary with a series of sixes, the brothers McDonald having a particularly hard time of it against Asif.
Wickets for Raj (1-16) and myself (4-27), and a comical run-out involving colliding batsmen gave us our other wicket. But everyone contributed with the ball and/or in the field.
Special mention to Neil Yelland in his first MDCC game at this level - he was unfazed by DJ's early onslaught and came back to bowl two superb overs at the death that had a lot to do with us winning the game. Well done kidda.
We're away to Leith in the next round - will let you know once we've fixed up a date for that one.
Cheers all, and well done again.
Tom
