[glow=red,2,300]Results from Round 2:[/glow]Freuchie Vs Murrayfield-DafsFreuchie 164/2Martin Ward 2-0-23-0 Adam Scott 2-0-25-0 Sutha Rangaswamy 2-0-33-0 Lindsay Towns 2-0-46-0 Gowtham Rai 2-0-32-1 (1 r.o.) M-Dafs 125ao 9.0 oversJigar Patel 39 Gowtham Rai 17 Sutha Rangaswamy 3 Adam Scott 0 Lindsay Towns 32* Martin Ward 22 On winning the toss, Freuchie elected to bat first and made a cautious start with some accurate bowling in the first over producing an early run out chance. The ball was hit straight back to me, and choosing to run to the stumps rather than throw I managed to swing right over the top, much to everyone else's amusement! Unfortunately it was an expensive mistake as the Freuchie batsmen were little troubled dispite our best efforts with the ball, and made a very challenging score with the loss of only two wickets. In reply, Mufs started very well with Jigar - playing his first game - and Gowtham both starting brightly, and despite the loss of Sutha and Adam cheaply, Lindsay Towns continued the good work. We were well on track with the run rate, but unfortunately lost too many wickets. Jigar then Lindsay retired on 25 to return to bat with me, but we were unable to maintain the rate. It was a much improved performance with the bat, however, and for a while we had the Freuchie lads worried. Having been inserted by Preston Village in our second game, played back-to-back with the first, we started scoring again at a good rate. Unfortunately no one this time was able to score big runs, and while we were on track for a high score the quick loss of our last two wickets saw us bowled out for a below-par 92 with 4 overs remaining when we could reasonably have expected to score 140+. Nevertheless, we defended the small total well with everyone bowling economically and putting pressure on the batsmen. The wickets didn't fall, and Preston Village reached the target with 9 balls to spare for the loss of only 1 wicket.
