Murrayfield Dafs 3 vs West Lothian 3
Meet 1245.
Once again our tea will be supplpied "Rumblin Tum" of Corstorphine.
The last match of the season sees former Murrayfield CC stalwart Dave Edwards bring his merry men of Linlithgow to the Roseburn Aqua Centre of Cricketing Excellence.
Weather is set fair but we'll believe that when we see it. Once again parking is restricted due to the egg chasing in the stadium.
Team now confirmed as:
1 Iain Martin - 50th match for threes 2 Charlotte Bascombe - returning from European Championships 3 Nick Hill - 4 Lindsay Towns 5 Jigar Patel WK 6. Aadil Baig 7. Adeel Raza 8. Dion Piggott 9. Ali Amjid 10. Mo Junaid 11. Graham Watson
Apologies again to those missing out.
[glow=red,2,300]Good luck to Ian and the first team in their task of securing the Division One title![/glow]

Well it wasn't to be for Ones , not so much a tiger-like display with the bat but kitten-ish as we totally stuffed-up the chase of 148 at Goldenacre. Twos will need to bounce back from the disappointment of relegation, they are a better team than that but have not performed, Threes were the bright spot yesterday with a victory at Roseburn to give them a chance of staying up.
Thank you all for your efforts this season. And personally speaking it has been a joy to lead a fine bunch of cricketers and gentlemen in the Ones.
PS We'll keep the Monday nets going while its still light enough and weather's ok !

Just wanted to second Ian's thanks to everyone - it's been a fantastic season (except for the rain!) and a joy to be part of this team.
Like all of us, I was absolutely gutted yesterday, it was not a good way to finish the season. But yet, in the cold light of day we can look back with pride on what's been a memorable season, exceeding all expectations at the start of the year.
Whilst Ben & Melvyn take the most obvious plaudits with their excellent performances throughout the year, the real mark of this team has been the way everyone has chipped in with quality contributions - and we can take real pleasure out of the way we fought back to win from difficult situations such as vs Carlton & Holy Cross.
Hard luck to the 2s - you'll bounce back next year - and well done to the 3s for providing some light yesterday, fingers crossed that other results go your way.
Up the Mufs!
