The title shoot-out between Mufs and Grange 2 regretfully has succumbed to the poor weather, the Muirhouse wicket is sodden. A huge shame we have not been able to test ourselves against the defending champions - I strongly believe that with this year's Mufs team the matches would have been really excellent contests.

No Mufs 3s team posted?! [glow=red,2,300]DIV 4[/glow] Preton Village Vs Murrayfield-Dafs 2 at Polwarth Oval Mufs lost toss and were predictably asked to bat. Mufs 63-3 from 21.4 overs (D. Abraham 37*, D. Kidd 12, C. Banks 7*; D. Wright 2-26, G. Barrie 1-15) Play started in light drizzle - amazingly the weather was a lot better at the Pans than in Edinburgh - but after 21 overs the surface was becoming too muddy for the bowler's safety. The scenario for the 2s now is very straightforward. Next Saturday we have to beat Edinburgh Uni Staff (home) and Holy Cross 2 lose to Largo (away) on the Sunday gaining less than 10 points for us to overtake them, and win 8th place in Div 4 to avoid relegation.
