As so we move on... Ones still in pole position, Twos and Threes in deep jobbies but a Double over Cross will mean the Great Escape may be still alive. Stronger availability this week has seen much soul-searching in selections.

Mufs Ones Team v Roseburn - away at Rosburn - please be there for 12:30 - and bear in mind very limited parking due to home rugby game for Scotland:
Ian Shiels (cpt) Keith Lawrence (v-cpt) Paul Hubbard (wkt) Ram Boyapati Melv Clench Sumath Eadala Ben Higgins Siva Jeyahanthan Raj Sampath Adam Scott Tom Wheeler
No easing off, no messing about, no mercy. 150% effort and professional focus required. Never mind the glamour final two clashes of the season, we must take care of business at our other home ground first this Saturday - never under-estimate your opponent.
Competition for Mufs Ones Team places is the strongest it's been in the Club in recent years so those selected must keep the performance levels high to be worthy of retaining their places.

[glow=red,2,300]Mufs 2 Vs Holy Cross 2[/glow] at Muirhouse 12.30 at Muirhouse - please be prompt! 1) Martin Ward (c) 2) Stuart Coull (vc) 3) Chris Banks 4) Chris West (wk) 5) Danny Abraham 6) Darryn Kidd 7) J Norman Baikie 8) Norman Allan 9) Phil Rogers 10) Reagan Black 11) Sutha Rangaswamy To echo what Ian has said, it has been an exceptionally tough week for selection for all the right reasons. Three people effectively 'coming down' from the 1s, plus a further three regulars for the 2s available again. It is very hard on those not selected this week as everyone, without exception, has put in a good performance in their last two games. We need to each raise our game that 5% from last week's good perfomance. A win against HX will put them into the relegation zone and lift ourselves out of it - this is our semi-final! Up the Mufs!

Three weeks from now, the season will be at an end. Imagine where you will be, and it will be so. Hold the line! Stay with me! If you find yourself alone, riding in the green fields with the sun on your face, do not be troubled. For you are still in Divison 4, and Holy Cross are already dead!

3rd XI vs Holy Cross
Sat 11 August 2007 at the Cricket Stadium of Hell
Can Holy Cross cope with the rugby crowds the absence of parking and the Roseburn Ultras?
1. Ali Amjid 2. Scott Taylor 3. Sandeep Modi 4. Lindsay Towns 5. Nick Hill 6. Mo Junaid 7. Aadil Baig 8. Paul Leonard 9. Rob Fotheringham 10. Tony Simpson 11. Iain Martin
Forecast is for light rain but we can play thru that and take the first step to Division 7 safety. Batting and fielding more of the same1 Batting? Everyone double their efforts and concentrate - no excuses on the artificial wicket.
The game sees skip make his 50th appearance for MDCC threes and the a debut tea from Rumbllin' Tum of Corstorphine.

Roseburn weren't going to play in the rain (and personally after last weekend I've been soaked by enough rain to last a lifetime) so Roseburn v Mufs is off.
