Great bowling performance today backed up be good catching and all on the back of outstanding knock from Ben Higgins well supported by Atul, Siva and Keith in particular. Same again next week (except from Sutha and me with the bat!). Well done lads - you made an ancient keeper very happy!

MDCC 3 at Townhill vs Dunfermline Wanderers Dunfermline Wanderers 155 all out 42.5 overs Amjid 9-4-13-1 Collin 7.5-3-29-2 D Piggott 9-3-19-2 I Martin 8-4-18-1 Wilkie 4-0-40-0 Modi 5-1-27-3 Catches: Bascombe 2 (WK), Collin (C&B) Martin MDCC3 Hill 19 S Taylor 57 Amjid 19* Bascombe 0 Modi 6 Leonard 2 Wilkie 7 D Piggott 6* Foths dnb Collin dnb IJM dnb Total 141-6 DW won by 14 runs 20 pts MDCC 10 points MDCC just falling short mainly due to the absence of an attacking batsman in the style of those employed by the Wanderers with their danger man Harrower smashing not just 22 runs off 3 overs but also taking out Amjid's and Jollers' fingers However had we taken such catches.... we'd be up for 12th man duties with England... maybees . A contraversial non-awarded stumping/run out and a slightly contraversial non-awarded bolwed appeal allowed a lower order Wanderers batsman to smash 41 off Wilkie and Modi - the former being unlucky not to get a wicket from the above contraversies and also from missed catches that went down in the deep. All bowled well though with Sandeep picking up 3 debut wickets in the league an Dion cementing his palce in the bowling attack. Amjid and skips were economic despite their ever swelling hands. Henry picked upanother 2 wickets to remember during his mid-life crisis ;)travels later in the year. A special mention also for Pickles who was superb behind the timbers picking up 2 caught behinds and only conceeding 5 byes. A pretty good tea was demolished with gusto before our scorer packed up the remains for the week ahead Nick and Scott got us of to a sound startand then Scott especially picked up the pace too as he passed the 50 mark before being run out as the runchase began. Great effort Scotty! Amjid battled in pain admirably but found it difficult to get the ball away but we'd left ourselves too much to do in the last 10 overs despite a couple of 6's from Sandeep and Dion. A pretty good all round performance and thanks to the 4 guys who stepped in at short notice. Trip home was via McKane Park were we met Gowtham and got a free beer despite losing to the Wanderers.... or whatever the McKane Park crowd call them

[glow=red,2,300]Div 4[/glow]
Murrayfield-Dafs 2 Vs Watsonians 3 at Muirhouse
Watsonians 3 188 ao from 47 over (S. B. Lockhart 77, S. J. Lockhart 32, J. Hunter 28; C. Banks 4-6, T. Wheeler 3-31)
Murrayfield-Dafs 122 ao from 37 overs (D. Kidd 38, M. Ward 17, T. Simpson 12; J. Fulforth 4-29, McNab 2-2, P. Kocte 2-20)
Watsonians (20) beat Murrayfield-Dafs (8) by 66 runs.
The opening partnership by the Lockharts really proved the telling difference between the two sides, and laid the platform for a competitive score. Watsonians' three under-16 players all made useful contributions to the team.
Watsonians should move to 56.25% and Mufs to 46.25%.
