Still a couple of friendlies to be played so we're not quite there yet, but would there be any interest in a repeat of last years curry night?
A successful evening I thought with a decent turn out. Whether to have it this side of Christmas or the other would depend I guess on when the MUFTAS are being held, but in principal anyway who fancies it?

i remember sutha saying that he'd like to cook up a curry night for everyone so maybe we could do that instead of going to a restaurant. we'd probably have to rent out a venue for it but if we all chip in i don't think that will be too much of a problem. in fact, it should probably keep it cheaper than a curry house and i'm pretty sure we'd get to see all the indian lads from the club who don't usually come out to the pub, i know they like their food.
does anybody know a place for hire where we could take our own food and maybe booze too? i'm not really up on these things. i hope sutha is still up for it, now that i've mentioned it. i'm sure ram and sumi would be up for it too, just so they can watch our heads exploding from how hot they like their curry!

One can do both you know - i.e. have a sit down restaurant meal curry one night plus have Sutha/Sumi etc home made Vindaloo on another occasion. Would it not best having it round someones house so its hot off the stove so to speak? I would say we need to wait till the end of Ramadan to be fair. If someone wants to organise the home made curry fest then please do step forward rather than rely on the usual suspects to do it. Maybe we all pile round Mr Telly's (Ali's) mansion??

Hello all,
Sumi has most graciously offered to host a curry night at his place on Saturday 13th October. Sutha has promised to cook and Danny is keen to feed us his beef!
We're suggesting a donation of £10 per head to cover the cost of all the food and bring as much booze as you like.
Anybody interested? If so, please reply and let us know so we have an idea of what sort of numbers to expect so that we can make sure there is enough lovely curry to go round.
The more the merrier, let's make it a big end-of-season curry-fuelled frenzy

Bugger, I have a friend's 30th that night.
What's your phone number Sumi? Perhaps I'll ring for a takeaway...

Ok guys, Sumi has the venue and Sutha is available to cook some authentic indian delicacies specially for us. Now we just need lots of people to come and help polish all the food off.
So far, Adam, Keith, Ian and Jilly, and myself have expressed an interest but I'm sure we have a lot more curry lovers among us than that. Stu Coull is pretending that he has another party to go to because he is a great big fanny who is scared of a bit of curry haha!
I think £10 a head is a fair price to cover the cost of all the food, any left over cash can go to making sure that our hosts and chefs are good and drunk by the end of the night!
Please pass it on and let's have lots of people come along and make it a good night. Oh, and if you could confirm that you would like to come, just put a note on the message board or you can send me a private message if you prefer.
Look forward to hearing from you all soon, remember - the more the merrier.

Chris Brown says that he'll come along to. By the way, what does UMH stand for? Is it Ugly Mother Hubbard? That's a bit harsh!

Add Phildo and Mrs Claypole to the guest list, please. What time are you starting and is Cobra the best accompaniment to your sub-continental feast? Works for me.
