May be late but i want to make my point here....
I think last league match ( Against Carlton 2) is one of the best match I played here in Scotland.
We won the match inspite Carlton needed to score only 25 runs in 15 overs with 6 wickets in hand . Who could have beleived that we will win that match at that time, but we did and we won that match.
How often you see 9 players around 6 stumps trying to save the precious second run..... (Me at Third man ; ) )
There is no reason comes in to mind why we can't repeat that in next Match and register our first win at Hx.
Up the Mufs....
Summi
Remember Cricket is all about Mind and Heart . Technique and Talent comes next.

Indeed so, wise words young Melvyn - I second them all. Holy Cross will be desperate to beat us, so it's time to show that we'd be worthy champions - and put in a performance to prove it. Grrrrr

PS: Grange & Heriots both won last week as well, so there's no opportunity to relax

WHO'S TOP OF THE LEAGUE? bloody grange.
Never mind eh. I've really enjoyed this season and I'd like to say thanks to everybody for making it fun AND competitive. Let's be honest, I started this thread as a joke after the first game of the season. I would never have guessed we'd be talking seriously about it right up to the last game of the year.
It would have been nice to win the league but we just weren't quite good enough on the last day. I'm happy that we weren't whipping boys again like the last couple of seasons and I'm expecting everybody else to be taking us a bit more seriously next year. Or else they'll get it!
So, well done everyone. We make a bloody good team and we can be proud of ourselves. Now, I'm looking forward to not biting my nails any more and having a good couple of friendlies on the BOTS tour. Hooray!
