Hi everyone
MDCC 1st team (in no particular order) to play Watsonians at Muirhouse, 12pm meet for 1pm start:
1. Tom Wheeler (c) 2. Ian Shiels (vc) 3. Paul Hubbard (w) 4. Sutha Rangaswamy 5. Regan Black 6. Raj Sampath 7. Mohammed Asif 8. Jean-Pierre Cruz Rocha 9. Danny Abraham 10. Melvyn Clench 11. Mangesh Akerkar
Watsonians are top of the table so this is one we really need to win if we're serious about challenging for the league. No reason why we can't do it either - come on boys.
And, without wishing to inhibit anyone's natural game, just a quiet reminder to batsmen in all teams that your wicket is a precious thing that you should sacrifice dearly...!
The very best of luck to all four teams for Saturday - I reckon we're due another clean sweep myself.
Cheers Tom

P.S. As proud as I am that that message pushed me up to "Junior Member" I need more Karma.
Maybe this will help..
Tom and Phyllis, two pensioners, hadn't had sex for months, if not years. Phyllis decided to reignite their sex life.
Tom still had a part time job as a lollipop man and one day he got home in the middle of the afternoon to find Phyllis spread-eagled on the bed wearing nothing but a pair of crotchless panties and a look.
Before he even had a chance to lift his jaw off the floor she eyes him, winks and says seductively, "Fancy some some of this then big boy?"
He looks her up and down and says, "Heriots no. Not if that's what it's done to your f**king knickers!"

You want karma, you REALLY need to do better than that. Seriously. That's really bad. I'm not kidding. I'm even considering a smite. Very poor. Now go and think about what you've done.

Sorry folks - match off as it's too wet to prepare a pitch at Muirhouse. And they have no groundsmen working on a Saturday morning so couldn't do it then, even if it was dry enough (which it's most unlikely to be).
Mr Belly has suggested the possibility of a net at Roseburn at 1pm-ish instead. If interested please say so on this thread or let me or Shielsy know - depending on levels of interest we may arrange this.
Cheers Tom

An 80-year old couple are going hard at it against a fence. "Wow," said Phyllis, "You didn't have that energy 40 years ago!" Tom says, "That's because the fence wasn't f***ing electric 40 years ago!"

Just to confirm that the tentatively proposed 1s net at Roseburn is off as well - too wet to do any useful practice.
