I was expecting the local Mountain Rescue Team to arrive, acting on reports of 22 lunatics in the hills, poorly equipped for the weather, to take us away to safety.
I wonder if any cricketer has died of exposure during play ?
Not even Morton would have played in this.
Once reconciled to the fact that the lunacy was actually going to proceed, there was a kind of perverse pleasure obtained from playing in it!
For the record we got 55 from 20 overs - Charlotte and Pav batted well. They won off the last ball.

(Well kinda on/off the park)....
I'll self-nominate before anyone else does... but I guess watching me getting my stumps obliterated 4 (I think) times in a row by that SMRH Overseas Amateur at nets was probably pretty funny to watch. My toes didn't find it quite as amusing in the firing line !!

At that was just his leg spin! Twas a little funny watching the clanging of the stumps. Although fair play to the belly for trying to get his bat down in time.

Nominee: Andy Piggott
Reason: As the 3s rack up a highly impressive total, Junaid begins to spank the ball at anyone careless enough to be near (over) the boundary rope at Roseburn. His score nears and then reaches 50, only for said scorer to be too busy with his coloured pens to notice and add up properly.
Come on Andy its not like its been a regualr occurance this year !!!
